Factory Visit Continued - This time Artictic Hand work

Earlier I mentioned that I went to a factory visit but never really had a chance talk about it. Well a few weeks back I was privileged to go with my close friend and her family to their Factory. Tucked away in the middle of the city but you would hardly notice it. Its like a green patch all around with older buildings. the environment is actually very peaceful without all the city noise.

Anyway this factory specializes in hand printed high end fabric. Unlike the mass produced technology enhanced fabrics you see at the store, this factory does hand printing, hand drying and everything in between. Its actually quite interesting and the end products are awesome. A lot of fun visiting the place and the artistic work, though time consuming, is very interesting. Not many factories continue this operation so I guess that is why the fabrics that come out of here have a different meaning. Oh and there is a really nice store named Anokhi, in the middle of the city where you can buy this fabric for home decor or you can speak to the owner for your own personal touch to the items. I took a few pics and here they are. A must visit place if you ever get a chance :). I am not fond of the dogs though! You have to do something about them, I think they were out there to get me :).
