Teachers are not the law!

It's common practice to punish students at school but caning is a thing of the past and should not be done to any kids at any school. Teachers are not the law and definitely not above everyone who think they can get away with any punishment they deem suitable! I was quite shocked to hear about one of the most prestigious and forward thinking schools in Kolkata, "La Martiniere" caning a 13 year old which led to his suicide. Its been 7 months and the family finally got a little justice when the principal and two teachers were finally charged and arrested today! THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN AND PHYSICAL PUNISHMENT IS NOT THE ANSWER FOR ANY KIDS! These teachers should be locked up but then again knowing Indian corruption, if these teachers have the money to bribe they could be walking free tomorrow!
