Repair is not made simple!

Other than running around and getting errands done, which I am finally getting used to. What I've noticed is that if you smile a little and talk to people working at various offices, they can help you get everything done quite fast. I guess a little friendliness doesn't hurt anyone and they seem to like friendly people especially when most people feel that taking or even smiling is a luxury around here :).

So the phone I bought less than two months ago seems to be dying and had to get something done about it. This is when the real adventure started, first going to the place where I purchased it from, Pantaloon in Kankurgachi,.... I tell them what happened and they stare at it for a long time like they have never seen it before and speak to all the associates and eventually tells me they cant do anything and it has to be taken to the LG repair center. So I get everything go to the repair center and they tell me they will fix it and its under warranty which is great, but I have to go back to where I purchased it from and get the original receipt stamped before I can pick it up.

All seems good right? Well the repair store is about 5 miles and 1 hour drive from the store, so do you honestly think I am gonna keep going back and forth just to get the bloody receipt signed? Anyway after arguing with the lady at the LG repair store I just felt bad for her and gave up. Now its back to the store where I bought the damn phone, insulted them and they signed and stamped the receipt. Needless to say, now I don't have a phone for the weekend.

Who the hell actually sits there and comes up with all these brilliant policies on sales and repair. If anything, they seem to be working hard on figuring out how to loose customers...... do they actually feel that they have good services? don't they already have enough problems at home so they don't come up with more problems  for people they don't know??? Oh well I wont be buying any more crappy electronics from Pantaloons again. Simply put their policy SUCKS.
