For my cousins engagement party I was recently asked to help find a nice hotel or event center to host the party. Not sure why I was asked since I have barely lived here but anyway, with a little online research I found out that there are approximately 130 restaurants within a 3 mile radius from me but, after visiting quite a few of them, there are some I would not step my foot into and some I actually liked.
One particular place is the Pasha hotel right across the street from the Hyatt. The hotel itself I think is over priced, but it's small, elegant, modern and quite homely with a small restaurant on the ground floor. We stopped by before to speak to the manager about the event and so far everyone seemed to like it and so last night was set to go and taste the food :).The decor can be described as very modern with muted earth tone colors, comfortable with a little Indian feel.
Service is great and the food is really good. Not too expensive and definitely worth the price. It's a mix of Indian, Tandoor and a little Chinese but overall a great place to go for a small cozy family evening or friends dinner. the only downside I noticed was that there is no bar or alcohol but that is about to change as they are opening a new bar next to the restaurant within the next week. I certainly will be going there again!
As for the cozy evening, well nothing is cozy until its at least 5 to 6 very loud family members and we were 7, making the most noise and yapping with everyone who works there. Got so carried away that by the end of the night we were the only ones there, and I guess they were kind of relieved that we were leaving :). If you are around the area, definitely check it out, you will like it!
