Today is another (Vishwakarma Puja). I do know that the driver came in early today and performed some sort of a prayer in the car. Anyway its been very cloudy for the past few days with random rain showers, quite out of season. Most afternoons are quite dark but that didn't seem to bother anyone today.
Its kite festival and kites being flown all over. With kite wars, everyone is trying to cut the strings of others kites to see who has the last one standing. Almost reminds me of "The kite runner" and based on what I have been told, the culture is very similar. Those of you who have read the book might know what I am talking about. So anyway needless to say it is quite exciting looking at them regardless of the fact that its going to rain any minute. I also feel like a part of it since one of them just flew in and landed on me.... and if nothing its just as exciting to see the birds fly around in confusion.
Each time a kite gets cut, you see these kids running around and hear them yelling and following them to their final destination so that they can collect them. I tried to take a few pics but I guess its too cloudy and I don't have one of those fancy camera's. Anyway I guess you have to be here to experience it.
