Colorful Calcutta Buildings

We all know Calcutta is quite colorful and for some reason, people have the need to paint their houses and buildings with odd bright colors. While some are fun to look at, others simply give you a headache. Either way they seem to work as a landmark, especially where streets have no signs, which is about 70% of the side streets in the city. Sometimes I just stop and think if people are actually color blind when it comes to choosing the color of their building, but then again with so many of them, its more of a trend I guess............Anyway here are a few and will post more as I get them. Winter Is here......

So I guess winter is here and its finally cold..... well more like chilly. I was expecting it to be a lot cooler but by the look of everyone covered up in the morning and evenings, I guess they are freezing...

I think I am the only one still wearing shorts, but starting this week, I have decided to wear pants.... coz you know, I don't want to catch a cold on my feet from the 50 degree weather!

ok no seriously, today was the first day I needed a light jacket and I finally stopped turning the fan on at night, a few days ago..... Yay for winter................! A month of heaven for me so I guess I should enjoy every minute of it.

Around Kolkata with a friend

So I've been busy for the past few days and haven't had a chance to post anything so today I will try to update as much as possible. I want to catch up to now since puja is in full swing and I want to be able to share.

So after braving the traffic, a few days ago I ended up going to meet up with a good friend for some lunch, museum and hang out but as usual I was on Calcutta time and about an hour and a half late :).

It rained outside and after the first cab ride we decided to just walk. I will update in separate posts regarding the happening of the day :).
