An old home tradition Durga Puja

So I finally went to see the old home traditional Durga puja today. Since they were landlords or as they are known here Jamindar, it was all about the golf and bling each family member wore. I think the head of the family wants it that way. Anyway to be polite I did not take any pics of them, but the overall experience was quite good. They have a temple with a huge statue in their front yard and a really nice smoke filled, from incense, celebration. Here are a few pics. Oh and the food was awesome and I ended up pigging out.

Oh I should mention that with most statues, the cold is imitation but with this traditional one, the statue was decorated with kilo's of 22 and 24 ct. gold and heavy security all around!
