For lunch, after looking around we decided on Mucambo's on park street. Its actually quite a nice place and my friend seems to have been there quite a few times. I was intimidated to take photos of the inside and didnt want to disturb other customers in there.
So the atmosphere is dimly lit, clean and leather chairs and some diner style leather seats. Some in red and some green and after further conversation I understood that this is a classic old style British restaurant. The menu is diverse with Indian, tandoori and western food. But being the Indians we are we decided on Indian food. kebabs for friend and a tandoori sizzler for me. The sizzler was good except the tandoori livers......... kinda gross and I hate liver but anyway good food low cost and a classic Kolkata atmosphere without the sounds of the busy city outside. Here are some pics of the food :). definitely going back again but have to try out other places first.
