Rock of Ages London Premier

So today the main plan was to go to the Japanese restaurant / grocers for lunch and after that either bubble tea or green tea cake which I have missed oh so much.... but after all the walking and tiredness, on our way to the Piccadilly tube, we came across something interesting. Hundreds of people screaming and crowding the streets, and of course its not something you can miss when you are just walking by in London. Its human nature to look and see.....

Anyway it turned out that today was the official London premier of Rock of Ages the movie.... In addition to the greatest rock songs I have grown up with being performed live, we had a chance to see Tom Cruise and my all time IDOL Mary J Blige do their live interviews..... Another day, another adventure and I think the beautiful MJB looked lovelier than ever.... BIG Fan.... here are two pics of the crowd, not good but my phone cam sucks!I know I am gonna see the movie on the 15th of June when it comes out in the UK, but you should definitely see it too, if not for nothing then for Miss Mary J Blige!

Damien Hirst at Tate Modern

I finally managed to find some time to go and see the Damien Hirst exhibition at the Tate Modern In London, with a friend. Must say the exhibition is amazing and though I was mostly interested in seeing the preserved animals, I was amazed at all the paintings involving butterflies. However I think the highlight of the day was the diamond skull, called For The Love Of God. This is definitely worth seeing and if you are London, the show is on until September 9th, 2012, so you will have enough time. Though you should go early as it gets crowded in the afternoon. I was able to find some pics of the exhibition since we could not take any photos. Oh and I want that skull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cant miss the Queens Jubilee celebrations if you are in London....

The whole country is celebrating and especially in London, you cant seem to go anywhere without seeing a thousand flags and everyone either partying or recovering from a hangover..... I went with friends for the boat show on the Thames, two days ago and I have to say I have never seem so many people in one place with so much pride for their country.... It was actually fun, despite the rainy day. Oh and the burger from the BBQ outside Tate modern was exceptionally good, or just maybe the 30 minute line and hunger made it taste even better. Anyway some pics to share... enjoy. Im off to Tate again today for a different show and looking forward to it.

Hermes Leather Forever Exhibition

Recently I had the chance to see the Hermes Leather Forever exhibition at Burlington Gardens, in London. I have to say it was a very interesting show and in addition to seeing craftsmen making some of their iconic products, I was very impressed by the lighting details. The lighting was so well done and emphasized so much of the intricate details that I was blown away.....

Anyway since they did not let us take pictures inside, here are a few of the Hermes Car, that I was able to take...

The Must Have Hermes €1.5million Handbag

Is this really necessary????? I know Hermes is an iconic brand, but this is pushing it a little on the psychotic side.  According to The Ultimate Luxury Community Hermès has just introduced their haute bijouterie line and there are several well known pieces. This particular one is a mini handbag in rose gold and encrusted with diamonds.... According to Ultimate Luxury Community "They are each functionally a “bracelet” and they actually work as (very  small) handbag".

Now I know every one needs a unique and affordable handbag, but this is just a little nuts LOL. Though in their defense they are not the first to make these super expensive bags, Louis Vuitton has also done this in the past, and I'm sure they sold out immediately since people sit around with cash to buy these things! Judge for yourself, is it worth it????
